Creative Industries as a Driver of the Global Economy

On September 29, at the plenary session of the All-Russian Forum "Russian Creative Week," a report was delivered by the Deputy Chairman of the Organizing Committee for the VII International Municipal BRICS Forum (IMBRICS Forum) - Mikhail Sverdlov. Today, the creative industries sector is demonstrating sustainable growth, forming new markets and employment formats, including in the BRICS countries. According to him, combining the efforts of young specialists, entrepreneurs, and researchers in this field opens up broad opportunities for joint projects – from digital services and educational platforms to cultural exchange.

Mikhail Sverdlov emphasized that the creative economy is not only about culture and art but also about innovation in education, tourism, digital platforms, and the urban environment. This is precisely why the BRICS space is becoming a unique platform for the development of such initiatives, uniting the best practices of different countries and creating a global ecosystem for cooperation.

Separately, he thanked the organizers of the "Russian Creative Week" for the high level of preparation of the event and highlighted the importance of such platforms for building dialogue. Concluding his speech, the Deputy Chairman of the Organizing Committee invited all those present to participate in the VII International Municipal BRICS Forum (IMBRICS Forum), which will be held on November 20-21 in St. Petersburg with the assistance of the Committee for External Relations of St. Petersburg, and with the support of the traditional co-organizer – the St. Petersburg Tourism Development Committee and the Convention and Exhibition Bureau.

"We see how creative industries are now forming the foundation for sustainable development and are becoming an important tool for international cooperation. The forum, which will be held in November in St. Petersburg, will create conditions for substantive dialogue and the development of joint solutions that will form the basis of long-term international projects. I invite colleagues and partners to take part in this work," concluded Mikhail Sverdlov.
